Historical Perspective

Rachna Jewellers was originally founded by the late Mr Nanji Kanji in the 1920s in the Fiji Islands.  Mr Nanji had a vision of becoming a Goldsmith and to that capacity began a business venture hand crafting 22ct Gold jewellery.

Gold being the king of all metals it always appreciates in value.

The family business changed hands to the next generation and was entrusted to the late Mr Samji Nanji.

A major transition occurred with the migration of the family and the Gold business to Wellington, New Zealand in the late 1980s.

Current Perspective

Rachna Jewellers & Fashionware was established in 1988 in Wellington, New Zealand and has evolved into a contemporary boutique offering exquisite hand crafted 22ct Gold Jewellery, along with the latest Indian fashionware.

We tailor to all clientele and have various lines of clothing from simple sarees to uniquely custom designed bridal wear, complemented with the latest Gold Jewellery.  We take pride in hand selecting your wedding outfits and cater  to every detail from start to finish including  the artistic  application of Mehendi.

Our Promise

Our gold business has evolved over the years to capture various markets of gold production, i.e., we purchase the finest gold from boutiques in Singapore, Dubai, Thailand and Mumbai, India.

Each year Mr Jayesh Nanji personally flys' to these locations to hand select the finest pieces of Gold and Indian fashionware for our customers.
